Deskripsi Game
Rogue cops and players become one in the dangerous universe of Miami Vice. Set in today's Miami, Miami Vice The Game lets you go deep undercover as narc officers Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs.
- Build your rep as a criminal player to infiltrate the seedy underbelly of South Beach.
- Lock and load for shoot-outs with violent criminals.
- Pilot high-speed boats through Miami's treacherous waterways.
- Bribe shifty informants as you trade in drugs, arms and cash.
- Bring down an almost untouchable South American drug lord.
Gameplay
Miami Vice has solid visuals. The character models are fairly well done and the animations are very fluid. The protagonists, modelled after Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx instead of Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas, look excellent. The colour scheme leaves something to be desired, shifting from vibrant neon colours to a dark, muddy, Gears of War styled palette in between levels. Sometimes, levels are far too dark, making it difficult to see enemies. Other times, your aiming cursor, which consists of a laser sight on whatever weapon you have, will be invisible during overly bright levels.
Story-wise, the game takes place before the movie. Vice cops Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs are tasked with taking down a South-American drug lord with the help of a former police informant. To do this, playing as either Crockett or Tubbs, you'll need to go undercover and build a reputation for yourself while taking down other drug dealers with lethal force. The story feels pretty generic, and the dialogue is terrible, but it was enjoyable thanks to the game's heavily cinematic presentation. The game also avoids mimicking the events of the movie directly and serves as a prequel, which is a plus since the actual movie doesn't seem like it'd transfer too well to a videogame format.
